- Duration: 3 hours
- Setting: A local wooded trail (Moderate, slow-paced walking)
- Capacity: Limited to 12 participants for an intimate, immersive experience.
Workshop Overview
The world is constantly speaking to us, but have we forgotten how to listen?
In this immersive, three-hour experiential workshop, we will step off the treadmill of daily life and onto the living earth. Walking a gentle trail, you will learn to revive the ancient, time-tested arts of augury (reading signs in nature), divination (interpreting the unseen), and connecting with natural allies (flora, fauna, and elements).
This isn’t a strenuous hike; it is an active, slow-paced meditation. By the time we return to the trailhead, you will have a renewed sense of wonder, a deeper connection to the local ecosystem, and a personalized toolkit for reading the landscape of your own life.

What You Will Learn & Experience
Crossing the Threshold & The Art of Augury
The Threshold Ritual: We begin at the trailhead by setting intentions and “shifting our sight” from hyper-focused modern attention to wide-angle, intuitive awareness.
Introduction to Augury: Learn the history of reading the sky and wind. We will practice the ancient art of exuspicy (observing bird flight patterns, or ornithomancy) and interpreting the sudden shifts in wind and weather as immediate feedback from the cosmos.
Meeting Natural Allies & Land Divination
Finding Your Ally: Through a guided, walking meditation, you will be invited to notice which natural element calls to you—be it a specific tree, a unique stone, or a plant species. You’ll learn how to establish a respectful, reciprocal relationship with these allies.
Geomancy & Found Objects: We will explore how the trail presents answers to our internal questions. You will learn how to cast and read small, found natural objects (twigs, pebbles, acorns) to gain clarity on personal crossroads.
Synthesis, Council, and Integration
The Council Circle: We will gather at a clearing or overlook to share our findings. You’ll learn how to stitch individual signs together into a cohesive narrative.
Grounding the Medicine: We close with a brief journaling session and a practice on how to carry these divination skills back into urban environments. You don’t need a deep forest to practice augury; a city park or a backyard sky will do.
